The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a road closure on State Road 28 in Alexandria. Beginning on or after Tuesday, May 30, crews will close State Road 28 from I-69 to State Road 9 in both directions for a small structure replacement. This work is expected to be complete late June.
The official detour for this project is northbound I-69 to eastbound State Road 26 to southbound State Road 9 to State Road 28.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
