FRANKTON – Robert D. ‘Bobby’ Morgan, age 90, a lifelong resident of Frankton, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness.

Bobby was born in Frankton on June 19, 1932, to the late Trevor and Lola (Shively) Morgan. On May 17, 1952, he married Hazel ‘Irene'(Long) Morgan and they shared 70 years of marriage together.

Bobby graduated from Frankton High School’s class of 1950. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home from his service, he began working for General Motors, retiring in 1987.

He was a member of the UAW #662, Frankton American Legion, Elwood VFW and a former member of the Alexandria Eagles.

Bobby’s family includes his loving wife, Irene Morgan of Frankton; son, Dennis Morgan of Converse; two daughters, Brenda Click and Joni Johnson, both of Frankton; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Smith of Florida.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Russell Brashear officiating.

Burial will follow in the K of P and IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Frankton American Legion.
