Earl J. Savage II, age 69, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Elwood on December 30, 1953, to the late Earl and Rosemary (Everham) Savage. Earl married the love of his life, Tammy (Ellis) Savage on June 6, 1971, and they shared over 51 years of marriage together.

Earl graduated from Alexandria High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Marines. After serving our country, he retired from ELSA as tool and die machinist. Earl will be remembered as one who enjoyed making people smile with his witty charm, but most of all for his love of spending time with his wife decorating their home for Halloween to bring joy to so many kids and the community who passed by or stopped for treats. He will be missed by so many, but his spirit will carry on especially through the glow during his favorite holiday.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Savage of Elwood; two sons, Jeremy Savage of Elwood and Trevor (Felicia) Savage of Indianapolis; daughter, Savannah (George Bridenthal) Pease of Alexandria; grandson, Zane Roller; brother, Jerry (Marsha) Savage of Anderson; sister, Connie (Kenyan) Burtan of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his son, Tony Savage; and two brothers, Mark and Jeff Savage.

Earl’s wishes were to have a Celebration of Life service at his residence 1615 South K Street, Elwood, IN at 4 pm on Saturday April 15, 2023. Dunnichay Funeral Home is honored to care for Earl and the Savage family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Savage family.
