1965-2023

Kerry Jay Hoover, age 58, of Elwood, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Kerry was born in Tipton, IN on April 12, 1965, to the late Samuel and Mary (Durr) Hoover.

Kerry originally worked in construction but finished his professional career at ELSA. He was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all.

Kerry is survived by his son, Aaron (Stephanie) Baledge of Alexandria, IN; two daughters, Logan (Karlos Schlichter) Pratt of Muncie, IN, and Brooklynn Scott of Elwood, IN; brother, Tony (Angela) Hoover of Tipton, IN; sister, Marie (George) McPhearson of Elwood, IN; sister-in-law, Betty Hoover of Elwood, IN; grandchildren, Charleigh, Jasper and Dexter Baledge and Zoey Schlichter; and several nieces and nephews.

Kerry was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel, and Mary Hoover and siblings, Samuel J., Les, and Darryl Hoover, and Kathleen Sullivan.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 21, 2023, at Forrestville Cemetery, located north of Elwood, with Pastor Josh Shoemaker officiating.
