1944-2023

ANDERSON, IN Janice K. (Morgan) Desper, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Beaumont Rehab and Healthcare in Anderson following an extended illness.

She was born on July 28, 1944, in Muncie to Charles and Phyllis (Hussey) Morgan and has lived in Anderson since 1970. Janice was a graduate of Muncie Central High School-Class of 1962. She had been a substitute teacher in Madison County school. She retired as a para-mutuel clerk at Hoosier Park in Anderson in 2005 after 10 years of employment. Janice was a creative person and expressed that creativity in her writings, her poetry, her art using oils in painting and her drawing. Janice will be remembered as a giving person and would unselfishly care for others, often to her own detriment.

Survivors: Son-Dave (Jenni) Desper-Alexandria, 4 Grandchildren-Zella Moon Desper, Danger Glenn Desper, Brecken Smith and Levi Layton

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 35 years-Ralph G. Desper in 2017, 2 brothers-Bob Morgan and Leroy Morgan

Private graveside services will take place in Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown, Indiana.
