Bonita Dawn “Bonnie”

Dow, age 78, of Frankton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born in Marion, Indiana on April 16, 1945, the daughter of the late Clarence Shipley and Delight (Harmon)

Hewitt. Bonnie graduated from Van Buren High School, and on January 2, 1966, she married Donald Ray Dow. They shared 53 years of marriage together before Don passed away on March 8, 2019.

After many years of dedicated service, Bonnie retired from Firestone in Noblesville. She was a long-time member of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene. In recent years, Bonnie enjoyed getting close to her “granddaughter” Faith and enjoyed crocheting blankets and clothes for Faith’s dolls. She was a very thankful person, and worried about others rather than herself. There was no question that Bonnie loved her family deeply and in return received a deep love back; she will be greatly missed.

Bonnie is survived by six siblings, Melanie Whetsel (Kurt & Dane) of Frankton, Linda Neal of Marion, Larry (Mary) Shipley of Marion, David Stephens of Upland, Carey Stephens of Upland, and Philip Hewitt of Mesa, AZ; several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Stephens. Bonnie wished to have private family services.
