The City of Elwood recently received an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as a donation from Ascension St. Vincent. The machine is a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart reestablish an effective rhythm. The donation will be kept in the main lobby of the Municipal Building.
