Chad Kia Warren, 39, of Elwood, was arrested Tuesday, June 6 for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Amber Crystal Day, 37, of Summitville, was arrested Thursday, June 8 for criminal trespass and possession of paraphernalia.

The Origins of Flag Day

In 1777, the Continental Congress adopted a resolution for the American flag, mandating its design include thirteen stripes of alternate red and white, with a union of thirteen stars of white in a blue field, representing the new constellation. This resolution was adopted following a special committee’s suggestion. The committee had been assigned to suggest the design of the flag.
