WANDA ROBERTSON

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wanda E Robertson of Elwood, IN on Friday June 9th, 2023, in Nashville, TN. She was 82 years old. Wanda was born July 21st, 1940, in Tennessee to the late Roy and Naomi Capps. She married Teddy “Ted” Robertson on August 19, 1963, and shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with him before his passing on December 11th, 2015. Wanda had a very long career with Red Gold and retired from there. Anyone that knew Wanda knew she could cook and you never left her house hungry. If she knew she was having company, she was cooking something. Her baked chicken, chocolate sheet cake and banana salad were by far the most popular. Wanda’s favorite activity was shopping. She never met a sale or garage sale that she could pass up. Most of all Wanda loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She could play a mean game of Skip-Bo and made sure to teach all her grandkids how to play. Wanda will be missed by many. She was a true southern gem. Wanda is survived by her three sons, Michael Robertson and Charles “Chuck” Robertson both of Elwood, IN, and Randall (Randy) Robertson of Tennessee; 2 brothers: Loy Capps of Elwood, IN and Ray Capps of Tennessee; 8 grandchildren: Jason and Jeremy Robertson of Warsaw, IN, Casey Robertson of Indianapolis, IN, Erin Robertson of Muncie, IN, Samantha Petry of Pendleton, IN, Leslie Wilson and Andy Robertson of Cicero, IN, and Zachary (Zach) Robertson of Michigan; As well as 13 grandchildren A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 15th, 2023, at 2:00PM at the Elwood Cemetery with Pastor Nate Warren officiating. Dunnichay Funeral Home will be taking care of services.
