One of the toughest aspects of ongoing, persistent and long-term grief is the loss of human life. Not the life of the person who died, but other losses you never would have foreseen - but then again did you foresee that first loss? I didn’t think so.
ARRESTS Jenny Lynn Eldridge, 42, of Elwood, was arrested Tuesday, April 11 for neglect of a dependent. Ronald Louis McClain Jr., 58, of Alexandria, was arrested Tuesday, April 11 for violation of pre-trial release.
The Elwood Police Department issued a response last Wednesday to a social media post in which a man claimed his wife was stopped by a man impersonating an Elwood Police Department officer. According to a press release shared on the department’s Facebook page, Stephanie Andes gave a statement to Elwood police in which she claimed she was stopped by a car with blue lights only, marked Elwood at around 6 p.m.
Local communities, including Elwood, are set to receive funding to complete much-needed road projects, thanks to the state’s Community Crossings Grant program. In total, 224 Indiana communities will receive over $133.4 million in state matching grants.
Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings has announced he plans to run for Congress. The announcement comes after months of rumors and speculations about a potential Congressional run from the current prosecutor.
