The Elwood Chamber is accepting orders for 2023 Hometown Hero banners through April 14. The banners bear the honored veteran’s name, photograph, branch of service, and rank. The cost is $100 per banner.

Frankton tops Jay County
Elwood Call-Leader NEW CASTLE –– Frankton did the two things it had to do and survived the one thing it couldn't afford to do in an opening-round 44-39 Class 3A New Castle Sectional victory over Jay County on Wednesday. The Eagles (13-11) will play the second game tonight against New Castle (13-11) for the right to play for the title on Saturday night.
Madison-Grant, Tipton advance to semifinals
KOKOMO --- Tipton began defense of its 2A Sectional 39 championship in dominating fashion here on Wednesday night. Four Blue Devils scored in double figures as Tipton breezed to a 74-38 victory over Eastbrook in the third game of the tournament.
24th Annual Student Show opens Sunday at Anderson Museum of Art

Phone scammers portraying themselves as the Indiana State Police
The Indiana State Police has received several concerns from citizens reporting an apparent phone scam. ISP receives numerous reports of phone scams each year, but this particular scam involves using the ISP General Headquarters phone number.
