Northfield rallies past Tri-Central

SHARPSVILLE –– Turnovers, especially in the second half, doomed Tri-Central in Friday night’s regular-season finale. Northfield spoiled the Trojans’ senior night overcoming 36-29 halftime deficit to outscore TC 36-13 in the second half and go home with a 65-49 victory.

Panthers comes up short on senior night

ELWOOD –– It wasn't the ending to the regular season that the Elwood Panthers were wanting as they honored four players on Senior Night Friday. But a four-point first quarter without a single field goal made the home team play uphill much of the evening in a 46-42 loss to Wes-Del.

They were taking down a building on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign recently when they found a 116year-old time capsule in the building’s cornerstone, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC].

Teams from four states attend Indiana Conservation Officer K-9 School

This week the DNR Division of Law Enforcement’s K-9 Resource Protection Program kicked off its nine-week training school at Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area in Johnson County. This year’s school has a total of six K-9 teams attending from Indiana, Kansas, Oregon, and Utah.

Would these students be entitled to some Social Security funds at some point? Some have worked as paid graduate assistants, but others have not worked while going to school.
