Elwood resident appointed to county’s Alcohol Beverage Board

Zach Schrader, a longtime Elwood resident and a firefighter with the Elwood Fire Department, was recently appointed to the Madison County Alcohol Beverage Board following a unanimous vote by the Madison County Council earlier this month.

Alexandria man charged with possession of child pornography following investigation

Austen Mills, 22, of Alexandria, was arrested following an investigation by the Westfield Police Department and the Hamilton Council Metro Child Exploitation Task Force. A detective of the task force was assigned to investigate a Cyber Tip submitted by Dropbox, Inc., a file hosting service offering cloud storage of data. The report stated that Dropbox, Inc. had found a user of their service had uploaded a file of child pornography and provided the user information indicated Mills was the perpetrator.

After months of planning, the American Legion Post 53 Easter Egg Hunt was on tap to kick off at noon on Sunday. Katie Hanson arrived early to gather the important things (the eggs) and the things necessary to help pull off the event. At his home, Ron Green was dragging himself out of bed. Elwood baseball places 7th in county

Elwood’s varsity baseball team earned its second victory of the season last Friday night. The Panthers defeated visiting Anderson Prep Academy 15-5 in six innings to finish seventh in the Madison County tournament.
