Former Madison County Councilman Steve Sumner, who had evaded police capture for more than two years, was apprehended in Winchester, Kentucky by U.S. Marshals, Madison County Sheriff John Beeman announced Tuesday afternoon.

This three-part event includes the 14th Annual Run to Crush Hunger, 37th Annual Red Gold Chili Cook-Off and Colts Blue Saturday. For the fourteenth year in a row, the Run to Crush Hunger unites local communities to promote healthy and active lifestyles, while fighting hunger in Central Indiana by giving back to local food banks. The Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger features a 5k run and 1 mile family walk and each race participant will help provide 120 meals to families in need.

Saturday night, Alexandria police officers were dispatched to the GetGo at the intersection of State Road 9 and State Road 28 in Alexandria to investigate a fight in progress. Dispatch notified officers there was an active physical fight next to the air pumps on the property.
