From humble beginnings in Rickie Payne’s old garage to a pole barn at his home on 28th and South J Street, to the 9,000 square foot building at the old T-Way Plaza located at 1900 South Anderson Street in Elwood, the Power Barn – House of Payne gym opened at its new location earlier this month in a building that had sat empty since 1981.

Tipton woman charged with neglect after young girls found in the street

On Monday, June 23, officers with the Elwood Police Department were advised of a report of two young children, ages approximately three years old and one year old, wandering in a roadway in Elwood. The report indicated the girls were seen running across North 7th Street.
