SHARPSVILLE — Linda Jimenez-Vasquez and Lexi Monroe started off their senior soccer seasons with a bang here on Monday.Jimenez-Vasquez scored four goals and Monroe two to lead Tri-Central’s high school girls soccer team to an 8-0 victory over Elwood in a match played on the high school football field.Freshmen Bella Stewart and Khloe Henderson scored one goal apiece to round out TC’s scoring.
Frankton’s Lady Eagles golf team capped off a good week with a third-place finish in the Shenandoah Invitational on Saturday.Frankton posted a season-best score of 384 and was just three strokes away from bringing home the championship trophy.Lily Hall led the way with a 99, while Kylia Buis and Kinsey Blackford each recorded personal-best 18-hole rounds of 100.
Frankton’s high school boys tennis team is off to a strong start in its 2024 season.
High School girls golf is in full swing with Elwood and Frankton keeping busy at the course.Frankton had a week off after opening the season at the South Adams Invitational.
