Indiana State Fair announces second wave of Hoosier Lottery Free Stage Concerts for 2023

INDIANAPOLIS - A fair favorite returns bigger and better in 2023! The best concert value of the summer returns featuring classic rock legends STYX, American Country A Cappella Group Home Free, 90’s Hit Makers Gin Blossoms, The Fan Favorite Happy Together Tour, Gospel Music Legend CeCe Winans & Popular DJ Kurt Streblow and More! On Friday, the Indiana State Fair unveiled additional shows to its 2023 list of scheduled concerts as a part of the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage schedule, July 28 through August 20 (The fair is closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The Hoosier Lottery Free Stage has become a summertime staple for concertgoers and music lovers.

Community Crossings Grant

Planning Director & Special Projects Advisor Bill Savage has shared a list of roads to be repaved under the 2023 INDOT Community Crossings program. The grant awards the City of Elwood a maximum of $748,744.87 for paving, with the city paying a 25 percent match. This totals close to $1 million to be invested into city infrastructure.

Local students received Community Hospital Anderson Auxiliary Carolyn Bolles Scholarship

The Community Hospital Anderson Auxiliary has awarded the Carolyn Bolles Scholarship to four Madison County high school 2023 graduates who plan to enter the medical field. The $1500 scholarship is renewable for four years, for a total of $6000. In all 14 scholarships totally $21,000 have been awarded by the Auxiliary for the 2023-24 school year. Money for these scholarships is earned through gift shop sales and vendor projects coordinated by the volunteers. The volunteers also recently presented a check for $180,000 to the Community Hospital Anderson Foundation.
