The Easter Bunny arrives!
After months of planning, the American Legion Post 53 Easter Egg Hunt was on tap to kick off at noon on Sunday. Katie Hanson arrived early to gather the important things (the eggs) and the things necessary to help pull off the event. At his home, Ron Green was dragging himself out of bed. His mission today was a vital one and failure was not an option.

Despite rain, Citywide Easter gathering draws large crowd
Despite rain and gloomy weather, the annual Citywide Easter Egg Hunt drew several hundred to the shelter house at Callaway Park last Saturday. Though the traditional egg hunt was canceled, attendees were still entered into a drawing for several prizes, including 46 Easter baskets, 23 bicycles, two electric scooters, and five smart televisions. Additionally, more 373 Easter bags were gifted to the kids in attendance.

The annual Citywide Easter Egg Hunt, originally planned for Saturday, April 12, will take place this Saturday, April 19 at Callaway Park.
Tipton receives $10,000 Indiana Arts Commission Grant for Teaching Artist Residency Program
The City of Tipton has been awarded a $10,000 Creative Convergence Action Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to support its Teaching Artist in Residence program. The initiative, organized by the recently established Tipton Public Arts Commission (TPAC), will bring a professional artist to engage with the community through workshops, presentations and creative activities.
