An Elwood man is facing neglect charges after an investigation that began last fall.
Aaron Ice, 46, of Summitville, was arrested on various drug charges following a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant. An Alexandria officer initiated the traffic stop after following Ice’s Dodge Ram pick-up. The officer learned the registered owner of the truck, who was identified as Ice, had an active warrant out of Anderson City Court for theft after running the plate on the vehicle.
Last week, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department was notified by Madison County Dispatch of a threat at the Madison County Courthouse. Madison County Dispatch informed Sheriff Deputies a call had been received from WISH TV8 of Indianapolis stating the news channel had received a call from someone who had received a call from another party, later identified as Frank James Grondin, 50, of Alexandria, threatening to take weapons to the courthouse.
After a long wait, the aquatic center rehabilitation project is on track for completion this summer.
SUMMITVILLE — A serious accident involving a school bus and a semi-truck occurred Monday afternoon near Summtiville, a press release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Crash Team stated. The accident took place around 2:30 p.m. March 17, at the intersection of 1550 North and 300 East.
Starting on or after Monday, March 24, State Road 128/S. Center Street will close in Frankton between W. Plum Street and W. Sigler Street for reconstruction. The full closure is expected to last through mid-August.
Friday, the VanBuren Township Fire Department responded to a fully involved residential fire in the 18000 block of County Road North 300 East in Summitville. VanBuren Township Fire Department Public Information Officer, Angie Huggins, confirmed when fire fighters arrived on the scene, the two-story home was fully involved preventing firefighters from entering the residence.
