Board of Works approves the hire of new EPD officer
The Elwood Board of Works and Public Safety met Monday evening for a regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Following roll call, the board approved the minutes from the previous meeting held March 6, 2023.

Cronk to speak at Women’s Empowerment Luncheon
The Elwood Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 2023 Women's Empowerment Luncheon on Tuesday, April 25 in the community room at the East Main Street Christian Church at Noon. Tickets for the event are $25 for Chamber members and $30 for non-members.

Single-vehicle crash claims the life of Markleville man
A 37-year-old Markleville man died in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday, March 28 just after 6 p.m. According to a press release from the Madison County Sheriff's Department, Vance Edward Garringer was pronounced dead at the scene.

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH
335 Mill Street, Tipton, 765-675-2422 St. John the Baptist Catholic Church was founded in 1866. Pastored by Reverend Dennis Goth, it is the only Catholic church located in Tipton county. Our parish is small but thriving. A variety of bible studies, service opportunities, and avenues of prayer and fellowship are offered to the county. St. John’s Preschool is open to the community and registration for the 2022-2023 school year has begun. The Preschool has achieved Level 4 Paths to Quality by the state of Indiana.
