Duck Creek Center for the Arts to host Comedy Night at Elwood Opera House
The Duck Creek Center for the Arts will host Comedy Night Friday, March 3 at 7 p.m. The show comes off the heels of a successful Comedy Night at the same venue this past November.

Body of Grant County missing person found in Northern Madison County pond
Donald Bailey, 56 of Grant County was reported as a missing person on January 24, 2023, at the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. During the investigation, Deputies and Detectives from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office immediately began searching the area and utilizing drone technology and K9s.

Demolition at 1525 South 25th Street is underway. The demolition, which began earlier this week, is the fourth demolition of the 2023 season. 'This property sits in a very nice neighborhood of well-kept properties,' said Mayor Todd Jones. 'I can't say enough how much I appreciate the hard work of Lisa Hobbs, Amy Noone, and the Elwood Street Department as we continue to improve neighborhoods and stabilize property values by removing derelict properties.' Jones went on to say that he is proud of the city's momentum in eradicating blight.
