Elwood Publishing press removed

The press at the old Elwood Publishing Company was taken out of the building at 317 South Anderson St. on Friday. The press gave to the employees of the publishing company, along with all the customers, several years of printed copy. The press came to a screeching halt in December of 2021 never to print another thing. The Tipton County Tribune pages are still intertwined within the press.

It was a very close call

There they were, the Sasaki family, getting ready for an evening of TV in their new home in Honolulu when the unthinkable happened, according to the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC]. Three giant boulders came rolling down a hill and one of them smashed through a wall, causing havoc and narrowly missing Caroline Sasaki just as she made her way into the living room to watch TV.

A RRESTS William Jason Small, 48, of Alexandria, was arrested Thursday, February 9 for failure to appear and contempt of court. Christian Anne High, 25, of Elwood, was arrested Friday, February 10 for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and neglect of a dependent.
