Alexandria couple charged with neglect of dependent causing serious bodily injuries

The Alexandria Police Department arrested Katlyn Conrad along with her boyfriend, Maverick Peterson last week after Conrad’s two-year-old son was transported to Community Hospital and later life lined to Riley Children’s Hospital with severe, life-threatening head injuries.Alexandria Police officers were called to assist Medics in the 100 block of South West Street shortly before 7 p.m.

Elwood grows in numbers, experience

The good news for the Elwood Lady Panthers basketball team is that the numbers are up, but while it’s not necessarily bad news, coach Courtney Lickliter’s squad is still primarily comprised of freshmen and sophomores.“We are still young, but we have some new faces that are athletic and could really help us,” Lickliter said.The Panthers graduated two players off last year’s 3-20 team, Darica Dickey and Raeghan Wisehart.
