Elwood still undefeated

FRANKFORT — Elwood’s girls varsity basketball team continued its hot start with an impressive 53-18 victory over Frankfort here last Tuesday night.The win kept the Lady Panthers perfect on the season.

Frankton’s Carmack voted All-CIC

Frankton’s Brady Carmack earned Central Indiana All-Conference football honors, while teammates Ty Everson and Nate Luzadder earned honorable mention honors.Elwood, who finished 0-7 in the conference, did not have a player earn All-CIC or honorable mention.Carmack is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior wide receiver who caught 28 passes for 443 yards and five touchdowns for the Eagles this season despite battling a hamstring injury.Everson is a 6-2, 315-pound tackle and Luzadder a 5-6, 190-pound running back.

Elwood’s Norris, Eagles’ Curtis, Harrison earn all-CIC honors

Elwood’s Breelyn Norris and Frankton’s Macy Curtis and Sloane Harrison were three of the 12 players to earn Central Indiana all-Conference volleyball honors.Norris is a sophomore outside hitter and setter for the Panthers, while Curtis is a junior right-side hitter and Harrison is a senior defensive specialist/libero.Elwood senior middle hitter Kendra Sallee received honorable mention honors as did Frankton sophomore defensive specialist/libero Finlee Clevenger.CIC champion Oak Hill led the all-conference selections with four players – sophomore middle blocker Morgan Cates, junior libero Braeleigh Evans, senior outside hitter Bella Taylor, and junior setter Addison Carey.
