Ryan Vanskyock’s main mission when taking over as the Elwood Junior/Senior High School athletic director in May of 2022 was to change the culture and restore Panther Pride. He’s had a very busy first year on the job doing just that.

Jaleigh Crawford completed her freshman season at Saint Mary’s of the Woods College with some impressive numbers. She also helped the team to the conference tournament championship. The team lost in the opening round of the NAIA tournament.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana High School Athletic Association Executive Committee approved a new rule on the way schools are classified in sports with four classes. The rule covers baseball, boys and girls basketball, softball and volleyball.

Elwood and Frankton have established a tradition of success on the softball field and are perennial favorites to vie for the team championship in the tradition-rich Central Indiana Conference. So, it should come as no surprise the Panthers and Eagles each placed three players on the All-CIC first team.
