ALEXANDRIA – Loisann (Hon) Haron, 90, passed away at her home on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 28, 1932, in Chesterfield, to Orville and Gertrude (Boner) Hon.
Loisann was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1950. She was the secretary at Orestes Elementary School for 35 years, retiring in 2003.
Loisann was a longtime and active member of the Alexandria First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Haron who she married June 17, 1951; a son-Tony Haron of Alexandria; two daughters, Connie Davenport of Pendleton and Beth Dent of Alexandria; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Doris Lee and Eloise Hon; a brother-in-law; and a son-inlaw.
Services for Loisann will take place at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 28, 2023, at the Alexandria First Baptist Church, 2107 S. Park Ave., with Pastor Michael Deutsch officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Friends may call on the family after noon today at the church prior to the service.
Loisann’s services will be livestreamed at 2 p.m. today on the Facebook page of the church, Alexandria First Baptist Church.
