SUMMITVILLE – Jeaneen A. (Beeman) Mason, 92, entered into peace and rest from her residence on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, following a brief illness.

She was born on March 8, 1931, in Muncie, to Otto and Mary (Myers) Beeman and has lived most of her life in the Alexandria-Summitville area.

She was a graduate of Alexandria High School Class of 1949.

Jeaneen had worked at the Green Thumb and Williams Upholstery, both formerly of Alexandria. She was an active bowler and had bowled in the Ladies of the Lane League with the same ladies for more than 50 years.

She enjoyed sewing, crafting, yard work around her home, camping, fishing and rummaging.

Survivors include a son, Randy (Pam) Mason of Summitville; daughter, Melisa Mason of Summitville; four grandchildren, Malena (Randy Jr.) Mason of Camden, Mich., Jeremy (Samantha) Mason of Summitville, Kelly (Jared) Burcharts of Fairmount and Logan Mason of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Hailey Lawson, Randy Lawson III, Austin Mason, Bradley Mason, Cam Mason, Beau Mason and Max Mason, all of Summitville and Lincoln Burcharts of Fairmount; great- great- grandchild, Daxton Mason of Fairmount; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Robert E. Mason in 2020; a son, Mitchell Mason in 1988; granddaughter, Kimmy Mason; and sisters, Noreen Tobey and Eileen Mapel.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service in Jeaneen’s memory on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Vinson Memorial Cemetery at Summitville. Michael W. Owens will officiate.
