NEW ALBANY – Pearl A. (Hull) Nighbert, age 91, of New Albany and formerly of Frankton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer.
She was born in Alexandria on Dec. 13, 1931, to the late Edgar Hull and Lula (Mullins) Lowe.
On Jan. 25, 1969, she married Bob Nighbert and they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage together before he passed away on July 3, 2008.
Pearl retired from General Motors Guidelamp Division in Anderson after more than 50 years of service.
She was a member of UAW #663.
She is survived by son Rob Boye; one granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; daughters, Deb Savage and Deanna Smith; step-children, Vicky Cantrell, Roger Nighbert, Diana Gibson, Joyce Goodman, Sheila Ochoa; a niece; a nephew, Michael Hull; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren.
She is proceded in death by husband Bob Nighbert; sons, William (Bud), Richard (Dick), Joseph and Bobbie Boyer; step-sons Norman and Larry Nighbert; a son-inlaw; father, William Edgar Hull and step-mother, Dee Hull; her mother, Lula Lowe; a brother, William Buck Hull; and a sister, Audrey LaShure.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton. Funeral service will be Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Courtley Granger officiating.
Burial will follow in the K of P and IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
