Lukus Jay Stapleton, age 23, of Alexandria and formerly Frankton, IN, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was born in Anderson, IN on September 1, 1999, to David Stapleton and Christina Hollingsworth.

Lukus enjoyed being outdoors, he liked to go fishing and spending time with friends. He especially loved to spend time with his son and family.

Lukus is survived by his son, Zackariah Lee Stapleton-Ice of Marion, IN; father, David (Rande) Stapleton of Frankton, IN; mother, Christina Hollingsworth of Warsaw, IN; grandparents, Rick & Diann Stapleton of Frankton, IN, Roy & Cyndi Jackson of Alexandria, IN; and Jenny Miller (Hollingsworth), brothers, Jonathan Henson and Samuel Stapleton both of Warsaw, IN; niece, Skylar Hollingsworth; uncles, Vincent Stapleton, Frank (Jen) Stapleton and Kevin Hollingsworth; aunts, Misty (Jon) Blaylock, Melissa Hollingsworth, Amber Hollingsworth and Chasity (Jeramiah) Walker; and several close cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Sheldon Hollingsworth and his great-grandparents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, 305 Sigler St., Frankton, IN 46044.

Funeral service celebrating Lukus’s life will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Pastor Vaughn Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P & IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.
