SUMMITVILLE, IN Dola S. (Ice) Morris, 77, passed away in her residence on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, following an extended illness.

She was born on June 22, 1945, in Fairmount to Clifford and Zetta (Stanley) Ice and has lived in the Alexandria area most of her lifetime. She was a graduate of Alexandria- Monroe High School-Class of 1963. She also graduated from Apex Beauty School in Anderson. She had owned and operated The Video Den in Alexandria for 10 years. In 2010, she retired from Jayco Industries in Middlebury after 10 years of employment. Dola was a member of the Hoosier Road Riders Motorcycle Club. She loved to work puzzle books, play board games and was an avid reader. She enjoyed motorcycling with her husband and watching TV game shows. But most of all, Dola was crazy about her fur baby “Andy.”

Survivors: Husband-JT Morris Jr. married May 14, 1966, Daughter-Lauri McRoberts-Summitville, Fur Baby-“Andy Morris” at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law-Dorothy and Albert Etchison, nephew-Alan Etchison

Services honoring Dola’s life and legacy were held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Pastor Roger Gardner officiating.
