Frances Lucille Williams, 87, of Elwood, IN, passed away on July 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born July 3, 1936, to Porter Thomas and Dorthy (Pitcock) Anderson, in Allen County, Kentucky.  

Frances attended Fairmount and Elwood schools and earned her diploma the same year her son graduated from Elwood High School in 1979. She worked for a variety of companies in the Indianapolis and Elwood areas, including Harley-Davidson, Kohl’s, Dollar General, and St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.  Frances was a loving mother and cared deeply for her son and family.

Survivors include son, Michael D. Williams of Elwood; niece, Monica Vest Wheeler of Peoria, IL; cousin, Bill Noone of Elwood, and other cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Pauline Vest on July 12, 2018.

Memorials in her name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  

Cremation has been chosen by the family.  At a later date, Frances will be laid to rest with her mother in Fairmount Cemetery.
