Marty Wells (right) was approved as Frankton’s new varsity football coach at last Thursday night’s school board meeting. Wells has spent the past three seasons as the Eagles’ defensive coordinator and will now replace Mark Luzadder who resigned as the varsity coach following the season. Wells has previously been a head coach at Madison-Grant and Elwood and also served as Elwood’s athletic director. Wells is looking forward to the opportunity and has been touched by all the former players he’s coached that have reached out to congratulate him.Michelle Garmon photo
