Man dies after being struck by vehicle

A 27-year-old man died Monday morning after he was struck by a vehicle on Scatterfield Road in Anderson. According to a press release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 5:15 a.m., near the intersection of Scatterfield Road and Rainbow Boulevard.

Road Closure on State Road 28 between I-69 and State Road 9 in Alexandria

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a road closure on State Road 28 in Alexandria. Beginning on or after Tuesday, May 30, crews will close State Road 28 from I-69 to State Road 9 in both directions for a small structure replacement. This work is expected to be complete late June.

After a long health battle, Judith Kay Barnes, age 82, of Elwood, was finally reunit ed with her husband Jack on Sunday, May 14, 2023, when she passed peacefully with her family by her side. Judy was born in Elwood on January 8, 1941, to the late Everett and Rebecca (Teeter) Barber.

Argylls win 13-10 slugfest over Eagles, CIC title
