The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a road closure on State Road 28 in Alexandria. Beginning on or after Tuesday, May 30, crews will close State Road 28 from I-69 to State Road 9 in both directions for a small structure replacement. This work is expected to be complete late June.
ARRESTS Cory Eugene Amick Sr., 28, of Elwood, was arrested Monday, May 15 for possession of methamphetamine, obstruction of justice, and a hold for parole and probation violations. The Elwood Planning Commission met for a regular meeting on Monday, May 15. Under new business, Brian Snyder appeared on behalf of Rosen’s Inc., an agricultural distribution center requesting that their new facility be annexed into the city.
A 27-year-old man died Monday morning after he was struck by a vehicle on Scatterfield Road in Anderson. According to a press release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 5:15 a.m., near the intersection of Scatterfield Road and Rainbow Boulevard.
